Doing the right thing can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. In our case, doing the right thing has always been a part of our culture. When we started thinking about an acquisition, of course this mantra was an important part of our decision.
What we learned about ATS right away is that doing the right thing is also a part of their culture, and has always been. We entered negotiations with that philosophy out front and I think we’d all agree it benefited both sides of the discussion. We had points to negotiate, sure, but coming from a place of doing the right thing made things manageable, respectful and, honestly, kind – which is simply how we like to do business.
Part of doing the right thing has to do with timing. We needed the right timing to make a good decision for all involved. We needed the right partner. We had both. And now we can move forward and take our business to the next level. We’re proud to be a part of the ATS group.
It’s an awesome thing to be able to take an organization that has developed over the years to see that continue and to blend in and merge with another organization that holds those same principles very near and dear by doing the right thing together at this point in time.
